AFP wins 'DuPont Golden Award'
Micro-layer technology
The application of micro-layer technology in Katan-Ex stretch films has given AFP the opportunity to improve the specific characteristics of stretchfilm. The award winning Katan-Ex film has been developed to increase the stability of wrapped pallets for transport particularly in the beverage industry. The pallet stability (holding force), even at high temperatures, and the puncture resistance of the film have been largely improved. Customer needs and product development have been combined to achieve the optimum result.

Innovative breakthrough
The decisive factor in getting the DuPont Award has been the way that innovation and durability has been combined in the Katan-Ex film. With this integration the cost of wrapping and the packaging waste can be greatly reduced which improves sustainability: these combine to allow the best conditions for companies to fulfill customer requirements. With Katan-Ex film AFP offers a high quality, innovative and cost reducing new product.
This latest development shows that AFP is “Packed with Solutions”. The company from Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, develops and produces packaging films for various applications. Working with the customer AFP will find possibilities to optimize flexible packaging. AFP has an extensive R&D department which includes a state-of-the-art pilot line. The products which have been developed can then be produced on their modern and well equipped machinery.
